I made this small blankie (~12X12) with star flannel fabric on one side and a pale blue start minkee fabric on the other. I really like how this turned out. I would've loved to have put a satin binding on it (instead of just topstitching), but for the life of me I can't make binding work correctly on the corners.
I really like this picture below because I feel like you can see how soft the minkee is.

I just made my first blanket last night!! I know what ya mean about the binding on the corners...when you figure out the trick let me in on the secret!! :)
